This policy explains how the Atom Translate website and iOS app process information, including what remains on your device and what cloud features transmit.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Atom Translate website and iOS app. Will CloudTech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is the developer, operator, and data controller for the processing described here. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that company.
The website is an informational site. It has no user accounts, contact form, advertising, analytics, or marketing cookies, and we do not intentionally collect personal information through the website itself.
Your language choice is stored only in your browser's local storage. Website hosting and network security systems may automatically process routine request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we receive the address and content you choose to send.
The app processes only the information needed for features you choose, account security, purchases, service operation, and support.
We use information to provide translations and speech, authenticate accounts, maintain sessions, verify purchases, enforce feature quotas, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, respond to support requests, and comply with law. Depending on applicable law, processing is based on performing the service you request, your consent for permissions and optional uploads, our legitimate interests in security and reliability, or legal obligations.
We disclose data only as needed to operate the selected feature or comply with law. We do not authorize these providers to use Atom Translate data for advertising or cross-service tracking.
App preferences and consent choices may be stored in UserDefaults, and authentication credentials are stored in the device Keychain. Text and live conversations are held in the current app session and are not written to a translation-history database by us.
Live audio buffers are cleared after a turn ends, is cancelled, or fails. Our service may use short-lived memory caches for reliability, including online speech output for up to about one hour and, when enabled, PRO OCR idempotency results for up to about five minutes.
Account, session, subscription, and aggregated usage records are retained while the account is active and as needed for security, transaction integrity, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Provider-side processing and retention follow the provider configuration, contract, and applicable policy.
Camera access is used to capture content you choose to translate. The system photo picker gives the app only the image you select. Microphone access is used for live voice translation. You can deny or later change these permissions in iOS Settings, but the related feature will not work.
You can avoid cloud photo processing by using Standard photo mode. You can stop further cloud processing by not submitting text, live audio, or PRO photos. The app records your PRO upload confirmation locally so it can respect your choice.
The reviewed app and website contain no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app and cross-website tracking. We do not sell personal information.
We use transport encryption, password hashing, token protection, access controls, and data minimization appropriate to the service. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Cloud features may process data in locations where we and our service providers operate. When required, we use contractual and technical safeguards for cross-border processing. Avoid submitting highly sensitive material unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Registered users can initiate account deletion in the app at Settings, Account, Delete Account and Data. This removes the user profile, linked identities, sessions, subscription association, and usage records from our active account database, subject to records we must retain for transaction integrity or law.
Deleting an Atom Translate account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple account settings. Removing the app clears app data according to iOS behavior; data handled by Apple or other providers remains subject to their policies.
Atom Translate is not directed specifically to children. A user who has not reached the age required to consent under applicable law should use the service only with a parent or guardian's authorization.
